SAT10

The Stanford 10 Achievement Test is required annually for students in 3rd through 11th grade. If your student is not required to test, but would like to, they may do so upon written request and payment of a $65 fee. Individual testing is available for an additional fee by appointment only. PLEASE NOTE: Students must be on time for their SAT10 Testing. Students who are late will not be able to join the test. If this happens, parents will need to pay for the student to test individually, which is an additional charge of $15/hour it takes them to complete the test. Drop off is 8:20 a.m.

SAT10 Week Schedule


  • Monday, April 3rd - Wednesday, April 5th

    • SAT10 Testing: 8:20 A.M. – 3:10 P.M.

  • Thursday, April 6th - Friday, April 7th

    • Easter Break: CVA Closed


Everyone must follow CVA's dress code.

Items to bring:

  1. Two #2 sharpened pencils with erasers
  2. Ruler with both inches and centimeters
  3. Bottled water (only) and snack
  4. Light jacket or sweater that meets CVA dress code
  5. Book to read
  6. 9th - 12th Grade: Calculator
  7. All students should bring either a cold bagged lunch or $6 cash per student. Please note that the microwave will not be available. Monday we will be ordering Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, which will include a bag of chips and a drink. Pizza will be ordered on Tuesday and Wednesday, it will consist of 2 slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza, a bag of chips, and a drink. Lunch orders must be made at drop off for each day.

PSAT

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a program cosponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT®. It also gives students a chance to enter NMSC scholarship programs and gain access to college and career planning tools. This test is optional for 9th grade students, and required for 10th-11th grade students.


Registration must be made by September 9th.

SAT® & ACT®

The SAT and ACT are standardized tests used for college admissions. CVA recommends students take these tests after completing Algebra II. Seniors are required to take either the SAT® or ACT® before December and meet minimum score requirements.
